Another Thursday

Well, another Thursday has come and gone. I'll pass up the chance for another hitchhiker's guide quote...because quite frankly, I seem to be getting Thursdays under control quite well. Thursday is pretty much Friday, but not overshadowed in it greatness by the awe inspiring pleasure of Saturday. That and I don't have to get up for work on Thursday morning after Drinking the night before...but Friday tends to be a little rough.
Interestingly enough, after a Typical Thursday in Silver Spring, which seems to be as good a place as any to spend Thursday night. My cohorts and I have each consumed exactly six pints of british beer (quantity not on purpose, however it is fitting). Not Imperial Pints fortunately but a jolly ol' time nevertheless.
Yes, cohorts is Plural. In tonights adventure I have discovered that their are at least three nuts posting comments in blogs across the blogsphere under the same pseudonym. Identity theft is more rampant then ever so everyone should be on their toes.

There are also a couple other things that i should mention. Fall is the second worst season ever. Its cold and dark at 7:00 already. That's unacceptable. Also a shout out to nut number 3 who makes a pretty mean steak chili.

We're gonna need a bigger boat

Alright, its been almost 24 hours since this blog got started, and the novelty hasn't quite worn off yet. So that's a good sign. In my previous post I alluded to the fact that this blog will be used as a way to track progress on an upcoming project. Over the next 2-3 months I intend (with the help of everyone reading this blog) to build a pimpin DVD Case to handle the merging of my collection of DVDs with that of Dee S. Nutts' collection over at dailyplacebo. So perhaps, that doesn't sound that impressive or interesting. But that's the deal.
Here are the requirements.
1.Must hold at least 500 DVDs
2.Must look nice.
3.The design must be clever or interesting in someway.
4. Must Not Overwhelm the room (if you line up 500 DVDs in a row it take up about 23' 6"), feng shui is important.
5. Must Somehow fit into our apartment
6. The movie watching / selecting process must not be hindered

I'm pretty sure some of you guys are engineers, industrial designers, or in some other way qualified to help out on this one. I'll post my basic concept idea on monday. That gives you some time to give some unpolluted thought to the matter at hand.

Oh, and as is the case with all projects as soon as you guys figure out a good plan, i'm more then likely going to change the requirements.

A Boy and his Blog

Well, now that the blog is up and running time to give a little introduction to this whole thing.

short bio: I'm a recent college grad. who has suddenly found himself employed as a web developer, and is trying the whole real life thing out (....i know my css is messed up in the blog, and i don't care...i'm not at work, and i don't wanna deal with it....). I'm living and working outside of DC which is pretty cool cause I get to play ultimate and such, however not being in school anymore somewhat limits my nighttime activities. This is probably a good thing cause of the not wanting to lose my job due to being hungover and late to work all the time. But i will forever find it difficult to sleep before 4am, so...here i am awake at night with nothing to do but come up with stuff to blog about.

that brings me to the blog. I'm not really into blogging, but everyone else seems to like doing it...so maybe its worth a try. I read blogs all night, so i might as well give back to the community and give people something to do while they are at work. But not really cause it appears that i actually have work to do all day at my job and i won't be updating this as often as say dailyplacebo (that guy is an updating machine). Or even the slightly less updated kellynation. It'll be all closer to the probably never updated again cleaningwithcheese blog. but enough advertising...this blog has been quoted as being "loosely dedicated to living life unplanned." and well that's the deal..i dunno what's going to be on it.

except for this one thing that i am planning to blog about for sure, but that's only because I may need help planning this contraption ...yea, so i guess i'm violating my maxim already. oh well. I'll tell you about this thing i'm building in the next post.
